How to Export Your Project to Blu-ray Compatible Files

If you have COMPLETED your project in AFTER EFFECTS

  1. Save project (.aep) and Close After Effects
  2. Open Adobe Media Encoder
  3. Click the ADD button to import the After Effect project (.aep) or Drag and Drop the .aep into the window.
  4. The Import “After Effects Window Composition” window opens which displays all available compositions in the project (pick the one to be output and click OK)
  5. Click the Settings… button
  6. The Export Settings window appears.
  7. Export settings–>Format–>H.264 Blu-ray
  8. Click the “Video tab”–>Basic Video Settings–>Check “Render at Maximum Depth” box
  9. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–>Bitrate Encoding–>VBR, 2 Pass
  10. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–> Bitrate Level–>Custom
  11. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–>Target Bitrate [Mbps]–>35
  12. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–>Maximum Bitrate [Mbps]–>35
  13. At the bottom right of the window check the “Use Maximum Render Quality” box
  14. At the bottom Left, make sure that either “Entire Composition or Work Area” is chosen to meet the proper requirements of your project.
  15. Make sure that your file is named: “Last_First Name” and saved in the correct folder.
  16. Click OK
  17. Click QUEUE or RENDER

You should now have a video file: LAST NAME_First.m4v

You should now have a audio file: LAST NAME_First.wav

If you to need FINISH your project in PREMIERE PRO

  1. Save your project (.aep) close After Effects
  2. Open Premiere Pro
  3. File–>Import (choose your After Effects Project (.aep)–>Pick correct Composition
  4. Drop composition in matching sequence (Edit as needed)

When finished…

File–>Export–>Media

  1. The Export Settings window appears.
  2. Export settings–>Format–>H.264 Blu-ray
  3. Click the “Video tab”–>Basic Video Settings–>Check “Render at Maximum Depth” box
  4. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–>Bitrate Encoding–>VBR, 2 Pass
  5. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–> Bitrate Level–>Custom
  6. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–>Target Bitrate [Mbps]–>35
  7. Basic Video Settings –>Bit Rate settings–>Maximum Bitrate [Mbps]–>35
  8. At the bottom right of the window check the “Use Maximum Render Quality” box
  9. At the bottom Left, make sure that either “Entire Composition or Work Area” is chosen to meet the proper requirements of your project.
  10. Make sure that your file is named: “Last_First Name” and saved in the correct folder.
  11. Click OK
  12. Click QUEUE or RENDER IF NECESSARY

You should now have a video file: LAST NAME_First.m4v

You should now have a audio file: LAST NAME_First.wav
